Whether you're looking to start a career in teaching or deliver training in the workplace, the QNUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) is the perfect first step. This nationally recognised qualification gives you the practical skills and knowledge to confidently plan, deliver and evaluate learning for adult learners.

The QNUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) is ideal for anyone looking to teach or train adults, whether you're new to teaching or already delivering training in further education, independent training providers, local authorities or the workplace.
You don't need to be in a teaching role before enrolling. However, to achieve the qualification, you'll need to plan and deliver two micro-teaching sessions as part of the course.
To join this course, you must:
Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) accredits qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The QNUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training takes approximately 120 hours to complete through a combination of guided learning and independent study and consists of three mandatory units:
Days 1 & 2 – Roles and Responsibilities (Unit 1)
Explore the role of a teacher or trainer, including professional boundaries, legislation, safeguarding, creating a safe, inclusive learning environment and complete portfolio units.
Days 3 & 4 – Inclusive Teaching and Learning (Unit 2)
Learn how to plan engaging lessons, use a variety of teaching approaches to meet learners' needs, prepare your assessed micro-teach session and complete portfolio units.
Day 5 – Micro-Teach and Assessment (Unit 3)
Deliver your 20-minute assessed micro-teach to the group, observe and provide feedback to your peers, explore assessment methods, record keeping and effective learner feedback and complete portfolio units ready for final submission to your tutor.

Assessment is continuous throughout the course and includes:
During the first four training days, our experienced tutors cover the three mandatory units while supporting you to develop your portfolio, practise your micro-teach and prepare your written assessments. Assignments are completed between training days and marked before the next session, allowing you to receive feedback and apply your learning throughout the course.
Day 5 is dedicated to the practical assessment, where you'll deliver your assessed micro-teach and receive feedback. There is also time for tutorials and support with your written assignments.
Following the course, you'll complete your portfolio and submit it to be assessed by qualified assessors, internally quality assured and externally quality assured (EQA) by QNUK before your certificate is issued.
