This popular supported self-delivery outdoor learning training package supports you to deliver your own INSET staff training, including all the materials you need.  Tailor it to your own setting as a series of staff meetings, 2-3 hour twilight sessions or whole training day.

We provide all the resources you need to to deliver your own professional development, working with the DfE Teachers' Professional Development Standards to promote a whole school approach to effective teaching and learning outdoors,

1 day Take the Lead Outdoors self-delivery package

Supported self-delivery training package delivered to your inbox

Using the 'see one, do one, show one' training and delivery model, this one day (5 hour) supported self-delivery training package includes all the materials you need for you to deliver your own INSET staff training with a mix of Powerpoint led discussion and practical activities in your school grounds. 

The training includes activities designed to sustain and embed practice, and includes individual and collaborative activities, formative assessment and evaluation processes to promote a whole-school approach to outdoor learning. 

Tailor it to your own setting as a series of staff meetings, 2-3 hour twilight sessions or whole training day.
This package is also available as a SEND / ASC / SEMH training package for SEND settings (see below). 


Purpose of the training:   

  • To encourage practitioners to think more deeply about the role outdoor learning might have in the provision of a balanced and broadly based curriculum
  • To promote a positive approach to Outdoor Learning that aligns to your school planning, policies and procedures
  • To explore materials, ideas and resources that can be adapted to your own setting
  • To share high expectations, understanding and confidence to take the next steps to develop an outdoor learning curriculum.

Self-delivery First Aid Training for your class

A supported self-delivery training package delivered to your inbox

Self-delivery first aid training

This 5-hour first aid course can be sent to you as a fully resourced self-delivery practical training package for you to use with your own class to be delivered by a staff member who is first aid current. 

The training overs the RSE and Health Education basic first aid requirements; 

  • learning how to make a clear and efficient call to emergency services if necessary  
  • the concepts of basic first aid,
  • dealing with common injuries including head injuries. 


Package includes pdf copies of: 

  • First Aid leader's session plan
  • First Aid Powerpoint presentation
  • First Aid scenario cards
  • First Aid course pupil booklet
  • First Aid course participation certificate 

 

The course, aimed at Y5 or 6 pupils, includes activities designed to embed practice, including individual and collaborative activities and provides children with the confidence to deal with common first aid emergencies that happen in a school setting.
